Our Story
Outback Plastics started with a simple idea and a genuine love of fishing.
It all began when I started making soft plastic lures in our garage, searching for colours, actions and combinations I couldn't quite find on the shelf. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, with countless evenings spent experimenting, testing new ideas and perfecting each design.
Every chance I got, I'd head out on the water to put the lures to the test. There was something incredibly rewarding about the anticipation of catching fish on something I'd made myself, and before long, friends and family were asking if I could make them lures too, encouraging me to take it more seriously. Their support and belief in what I was creating gave me the confidence to turn a simple hobby into something much bigger.
The more people started fishing with our lures, the more we realised this was something we wanted to share. That's how Outback Plastics was born.
Today, we're proud to be a small Australian family business, hand-pouring every lure with the same care and attention that went into those very first batches in our garage. We believe great fishing lures don't need to come from a big factory — they just need to be made by people who genuinely love fishing and care about quality.
